WALT recount a personal experience

Planning my recount

Title:

Orientation (Introduction)
Who?
Our class.
What?
Our creek.
When?
Where?
To the creek to find stuff that’s smelly.
What happened?

Tell it in the order it happened.
First of all: Miss buchanan told us to go line up into two lines we went. To the creek and we all saw a pukeko walking.
Next: We went to the creek then we sat down and then. Miss buchanan said subscribe what it smells.
After: that We went in two lines and when on back to class well. Mrs timmy told us to walk quite into two lines
Later on: I was going inside but. Miss buchanan said go and line up into two lines again. And I was like, oh man I want to go inside to do my writing.
In the end: we went inside to grab our chromebooks and sat on the mat then. Miss buchanan said to subscribe what it smells like
And everyone else went but we had to in a circle to do it.
Reorientation (Summary)

Now that you have made a plan, it is time to write your recount in full sentences:

On monday morning I went to school with my little brother two bells rang and I went hang my bag in a chair. And we went over to the yr 6’s and 5’s
To talk about healthy food and something else then we went to class and room 9 went to line up into two lines and we went to the creek.

When we got there we were smelling what it smells like it. Miss buchanan
said to come and bob down and she was talking to us then. I started chucking sticks into the water. Then mrs timmy said to me put the stick down when we were going back to school.

THE END.

I know I have been successful writing because my recount:
1
Has an orientation to tell who, what, when, where.

2
Recounts the experience in the order the events happened.

3
Shares my feelings about the experience at the end.

4
Is written using verbs in the past tense (I saw, I walked, I felt).

5
Has sentences with capital letters and full stops.
