Explanation Writing.
Task Description: Room 1 literacy class did a explanation writing about a thesis statement. we had to write about Responsibility, Pets, Devices, and last of all was Chinese new years celebrating and performing a dragon dance. We had to write in every slide to complete this task so we could move on to the next one.

INQUIRY: Octopuses and Cephalopods.
Task Description: The task that out teacher gave us is about octopuses and cephalopods.
We learned about the brains, the 3D texture of it's skin and even the chromataphores too.
We were watching the video of the squid, cuttlefish and the octopus. We were in groups underlining the key words as well.

INQUIRY: Zebrafish.
Task Description: We had a Scientist come in our class and his name was Dr Thierry. we had to draw the developing eye of an zebra fish. We also learned that their cells are similar to our cells.
We enjoyed having Dr Thierry in our class learning about the eyes of an zebra fish.
INQUIRY: The Origin of Life.
Task Description: In our home class we did a task about the origin of life. this included cells, animals, microscopic blobs and other things. It was fun watching the video about the origin of life, because this scientist explained how life first started, but i thought god made every thing.
We saw how the creatures got into land too.

INQUIRY: fragile Web of Life.
Task Description: We learned about the fragile web of life. I saw the people cutting down the trees to build their own wooden table and chairs.
And they also cut the fins off fishes and sharks too.
Sports Shed.
Task Description: What we did was that we looked at this sheet about Sport Sheds. We had to read what the story was all about. we worked out which was it, volume or perimeter.
after that we had to write down the numbers on each side of the container.

Genome Sequence.
So what we’ve learned from the Genome Sequence is that Scientists are extremely clever. Scientists can do extraordinary things, meaning deep inside our cells chemical called DNA, and the letters are A,G,T, and C that is in our blood. They are Repeat 6 billion times
It will take a Whopping 57 years to read out aloud.
Genome Sequence takes about around 99% of our sequence are the same. It is the 1% that makes us all different. DNA is a bit like the computer code. There are Individual differences.
But if a glitch makes a instructions confusing, or glitches that cause health problems, there is a way to find a glitch, it is to look closely at your genome sequence.
Genome Sequence is an exciting new technology. Scientists can remove the DNA and read your sequence using a high powered machine. There are many Sequences to thousands of other people’s. They might even compare it to your close relatives, like your mum and dad.
Everyone's genomes are different. There are conditions and decide on the best treatment.
There are more answers we can find in the future.
Task Description: What we did was that we had to write something about the Genome Sequence. We had to write our notes down and we also had to highlight the key words which were important.

School Hours Persuasive.
SCHOOL SHOULD START LATER AND END EARLIER
School should be normal. Because when you come to school, it’s just the same every day. Us kids should have more time to learn with, friends, teachers.
We should have more time to learn because if it starts later and ends earlier, then you won’t learn more. We could get smarter and smarter each day. As we go into college you'll see that you take things seriously. This is why we need to learn more. We can gain great knowledge too. Would you want more learning time at school?
Furthermore, my reason why we should go to school is because we need to know how to become a great smart student. In contrast, you learn unique things at school too.
My opinion is that we take these lessons so we know that you’ll have a better education in college. Science is one of the best subjects as well.
In addition, you could make a change in your life, and you could take charge of your own work, it’s like helping your friends doing their assignments. Or you could get them to help you. But that’s if your stuck with your work, even though it drives you crazy doing heaps of work, you could always find a buddy to help you.
Another reason why we should have more time is because it reduces the amount of time that children like us could be spending with their families. As you learn you will keep your brain active, and it boosts the connection within your brain too. And your brain can then apply that learning to other areas or problems. So, the more you learn, the better you get at learning.
CONCLUSION
I reckon we should have more time to learn about unique things.
Task Description: What we have learned about is that we had to create a document to do our school hours persuasive writing. we had to write our reasons, facts and also our opinion.

What is a Scientist?
Task Description: So what we did is that we had to brainstorm about the word Scientist. It was like brainstorming about persuasive. We had to write down all our ideas on each box filling it up.
It was like learning about Technology, Experiments.

Task Description: Me and Zane didn't know what to do? So both of us decided to copy the one on the board. we both did the first shape together like duo's, well Shania was looking at the paper.
After that we had to present ours first. But we weren't prepared yet, So we just said any thing that popped up, out of our heads.
Shaping Up
Task Description: So what me and my group did was that I draw 3 different shapes.We colored all of them. However, we came up with no ideas. We were absolutely quite too.
I didn't know what to do then either, so we continued paying attention to the other group presenting their math thinking.
